Recently I shared a post all about why we LOVE Teaching Textbooks math for all three of our kids. Before we jump to the most exciting part of this post – the GIVEAWAY — I want to share a few more facts about Teaching Textbooks Math that you may not know. I have been sharing more and getting many questions lately! Below you’ll find a few more of my favorite things about TT math!
Self Grading
You don’t have to grade! They do it for you immediately! This is one of my favorite features, for multiple reasons. I love that it gives my kids immediate feedback and I love that I don’t have to spend time grading after they are done.
Continual Review
I love the cyclical review TT provides within each lesson. The kids may not love this part, but teachers sure do!
Independent Learning
I love that all three of my kids can work on different levels of math at the same time and I {or my husband} can oversee each without doing the direct instruction. I want to elaborate on this part a bit. I don’t have to do the main instruction as a parent, but depending on the lesson, or the child, I am available for assistance. My husband oversees my boys and I oversee my daughter who is doing Math 3 right now. The photo below shows how we do math. She sits at a desk with the computer and works with the sound on {my boys use headphones} so I can hear what she is being taught. I have the lesson manual open in front of me and follow along. This allows her the independence while also being there if needed. She is our first to use Math 3, the lowest level, so I am choosing to do her lessons this way for now. My boys work independently and come to us as needed.
One Purchase – Multiple Children
We own almost all levels and they are getting passed down to siblings! I love that it is something I purchase once and then can use year after year.
