I didn’t think we did much for Tot School until I looked back through the photos from the week!
Here’s K working on his K page, we only worked on his ABC notebook one day this week, I’m such a slacker :).
He finished before P finished writing the words for his page so K played with one of our great $1 puzzles (from Target)
And finally he got to go outside and play with his favorite toy, bricks. Yes, he LOVES to play for long periods of time with these bricks!!
And these next photos show our failure of Tot School time, he was not interested in any of our great ideas–like these wonderful BoohBah movement cards I thought he would love (you show a card and the child does the action with you)…
And I had the marvelous idea of sorting his favorite fish into colored bowls, he lasted all of 10 seconds or so on this, maybe next week. P enjoyed both activities though!!
The next day was much more of a success, involving something the boys adore…water play! This is what water play looked like when I was supervising them…
Then Daddy came home and water play turned into this…
He did learn to fill a bucket, that’s good learning!
That same day we did tons of fun indoor tot school too, spending a lot of time on puzzles…
Learning to Read! First Words Game by Carson-Dellosa®
And then he asked me to get the Doodle Pro Glow
He played with our Noah’s Ark Shape Sorter
This weekend we celebrated his 2nd birthday with dinner out at a Japanese restaurant where he used his kiddo chopsticks, we were quite impressed!
Happy Birthday Krash!!!!
He got many cool toys, which I am sure will be featured in future Tot School reports!!! He had a great time!!!
If you’d like to see more Tot School posts, click here. And, be sure to check out the Tot School webpage for more ideas and links. And if you have a tot at home, join in the fun and share what you’re doing with your tot! Here’s how to get started if you’re new…
What are you doing for Tot School lately? Let’s define a “tot” as an 1-3 year old. I would say anything before a formal Pre-K curriculum. You know, the stuff we do with our little ones to provide opportunities to develop their love of learning and maybe teach them a few things. If you have any ideas you’d like to share, link up your exact post to Mr Linky (if you have questions about how to do that, let me know in a comment or email). Provide a link back somewhere in your post to this post so your readers can see other ideas too!

What a great week! My boys played with water in the sink today since we couldn’t go outside! Of course I got pictures! 🙂 I posted my tot school on your last week’s mr. linky thing…can I post it here too?
Homeschool Madness
I noticed after I left a comment for you and meant to tell you to post it here too!!!

Hi Carisa!
Happy 2nd Birthday Kyler!! He is SUCH a cutie! …and very talented with chopsticks!
We love puzzles, too. We’ll have to check out Target!
It’s funny he likes to play with bricks. I pictured those cardboard or foam bricks (while reading) but he likes actual bricks. Wonder if he may be a mason?
The fish sorting was a great idea! Use games for other activities, too.– Great idea! It’s funny how they have their own ideas sometimes of what they wish to do and it is often the most simplest of things (even when we think of some cool stuff!? maybe he’d like the fish sorting another week!) It’s sweet that Paxton is always helping his younger brother with Tot School. He is learning how to be a teacher as well!
Have a great week! Happy Mother’s Day! We are so blessed by the Lord who entrusted this sweet tresures to us to raise for HIS glory!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLER!!! and Happy belated Mothers’ Day, Carisa 😉
Your homeschooling Ky looks so FUN…
LOL! That is exactly what would happen if DH supervised water play with my kids!
Looks like a fun week.
Happy Birthday, Kyler! I’m impressed by the chopsticks, my kids have enough trouble with fork and spoon!
The BooBah game looks like fun. Where did you get it?
Happy 2nd Birthday, Kyler and Happy Mother’s Day, Carisa. I love your tot-school posts. Can’t wait to see more on your ABC notebook. Thanks again for sharing!
Wow, you were busy! Love the fishy game sorting idea, that is Bubba’s favorite game and I know he’d just love doing that! What a great job Ky did with his chopsticks!
Blessings,
Valerie
That is so darn cute! I sure am a fan of your tot school. 🙂

He gets very excited!
Hi Carisa
Mama Bear here from Lapbook Lessons. I’ve just signed into the Mister Linkey for Tot School but I’m unsure if I used it correctly. Do I need to link every week or is this permanent?
Sorry for asking…I’m not even 30 yet and all I’ve done is email and the basics until a couple months ago. LOL
I also need to tell you that in reading about your family and what God is doing in your lives, I …(I’m not a crier haha) I am so in awe of His Glory.
Some ladies and I have been prayer walking in the bad part of town and I actually didn’t want to walk this week, I did though and pushed my boy in a stroller. I took time today and read some of your blog and God has shown me my apathy.
Thank you for being used by God.
Happy Birthday Kyler! Your boys are beautiful. He looks like he was on the go!
Well, I done missed class again. LOL! But thank the Lord for blogger’s new post scheduling feature. My Tot School post is already posted and scheduled for this Sunday. See in school!
