We are reviewing a fabulous home art curriculum, Home Art Studio! We are using the third grade level, so Pac and Krash can participate together. I am blogging through our art projects to help keep me {the non-art lover} accountable!
Our latest project was Rose Windows, which again I was excited about, since it did not involve paint. The cool thing about this one is that I knew Ladybug could join us too! We watched the DVD before beginning, and then referred to the printed lesson plan while working. They learned about radial symmetry and saw images of real rose windows in the DVD segment
Ripped up tissue paper was a really fun part of this whole project. The kids enjoyed the ripping and all of the beautiful colors!
Ladybug was SO excited to be able to join us! She loves anything crafty and anything school related. She follows direction really well so she was able to handle much of it on her own.
The boys loved this project and made several comments about how fun this was.
Even the massive mess didn’t bother me one bit, mostly since there was no paint on that table!
I cut out L’s circle and completed it for her, she ooohed and ahhhed at her completed rose window as it hung in our window.
I had to cut the shapes out for Krash, but he glued it down himself.
He too, was thrilled with his final project!
My windows are beautifully decorated with all 3 rose windows now! PacMan’s is on the top, he did his entire project on his own.
