She was immediately drawn to the fall songs, which I had displayed in our mini pocket chart.
We have enjoyed these leaf songs countless times during the past two weeks, tossing leaves all around!
The silk leaves were from the dollar store years ago and have been great. I put some in a glass jar and added a clothespin for some fine motor work.
The bowl of leaf and pumpkin gems {from Target dollar section last year I think} has been sorted numerous times. We have also made patterns together, and counted our piles many times. Such natural learning with engaging and simple materials.
Below you can see her sorting.
We got out our Scarecrow printables and enjoyed reading together! Story retelling is a favorite with these printable characters. We put magnets on the back and use our cookie sheet.
We also had a notebook full of coloring sheets and printables for her to choose from. Sadly, I didn’t get any photos of her in action! Everything in the notebook is pinned on our Fall board!
