Sometimes we have a theme to go along with our RRSP letter of the week, sometimes not. Ladybug really enjoys a special theme, and I didn’t have one preplanned for the letter J, so Jack and the Beanstalk popped into my mind! I will share later all of what we did for her theme week, but I wanted to share the printables I created for her!
I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted, so I bought clipart from Little Red’s Clipart and got busy!
There is a Jack and the Beanstalk printable pack which features activities for tots-Kindergartners. There is a printable Jack and the Beanstalk story, which I created in both color and BW {to be colored by kids}.
There’s also a digital story for those of you who like the Easy Readers and using the books on your devices.

We only have one nice copy of Jack and the Beanstalk in actual paper book format, so I found some cute apps to make the story come alive also! One {shown below} is free, and the McGraw Hill story I got free when it was marked down, but it is often a paid app. The middle one is normally paid, but I also got it free when marked down. {see how we find temporarily reduced apps here} The Story Chimes free version has some ads, but nothing inappropriate that we saw.
Jack and the Beanstalk Story Apps We Used {Apple}
Here are some of the Jack and the Beanstalk books and toys I wish we would have had {I planned this entire unit in one day and didn’t have time to scout the library}.
I also used a Kindle book {free borrow for Amazon prime members}, which my kids LOVED. I read it to them while they were eating lunch one day and they thought it was a great version!
We also enjoyed watching this version of Jack and the Beanstalk on Amazon Prime too!
Comparing different versions of the story was definitely a very fun part of our theme week. Krash was VERY involved with this theme too, which made it fun! I will share more when I put our entire theme post together! We used many other resources too, most I have pinned here on my J is for Pinterest board! Stay tuned for our upcoming post which will share all that my kids enjoyed throughout our Jack theme!
