We continue to work on word families here in our homeschool Kindergarten and have a new _et word family printable for you! Play Dough Mats! There is no picture of the word on the mat on purpose, to encourage the child to actually read each word and not rely on the picture.
We used our Play Doh for these, but we often use our homemade play dough recipe to make our own! I definitely prefer making my own! I need to get busy and make some soon!
Forming letters and words with play dough is great for fine motor muscles in little hands. It is also great for slowing a child down to focus on the formation of each letter and the order of letters in a word. She really enjoyed making all of her words, then transferring them into a row like this. The blue mat you see is our MessMatz, we love it! We got ours on Zulily, they show up sometimes there!

While there you’ll get a peek at the full _et word family printable set. Many FREE individual files will be coming soon, the full set is available in my Teacher’s Notebook Shop if you want it now!
