I am so excited to be able to share our favorite play dough recipe with you today! I had linked to it in this post from another blog years ago but the blog was taken down and thus the link was broken. I finally remembered to email Laura, the original author, to ask permission to share it here and she graciously said yes! I have included a printable play dough recipe also, the first page is with pictures, the 2nd is without. The link is at the bottom of the post!
Keep in mind, I am not a cook, nor am I any sort of play dough making expert, this is just the one recipe I tried and it works for us! There are many other options floating around online, I just tend to stick with what I know, and this is it!
I personally prefer making it alone, but my kids love helping so they usually do. It has been awhile since we have made a batch because I got lazy and bought Play Doh on sale. They were so excited to have a new homemade batch!
The were especially excited since we now have our essential oils to include. They carefully planned out our colors and scents, you can see a few of their selections below.
We made a double batch since they chose so many scents and colors…
As we kneaded in the color and oil we passed it around for the smell test. I think they love the smells the most!
I am storing this batch in small ziploc baggies, sometimes we store it right in our play dough box, but we have too many tools in it right now!
