~Ladybug is currently 25 months old~
We took a week off of our Tot School Printable units, and did a week of princess fun! Honestly it was mostly out of laziness on my part-K’s birthday party wore me out last week and I wasn’t up for an intense school week.
Our princess week was low-key and Ladybug did NOT prefer this. She is a bit of a school addict. She actually stands at her table highchair and screams to do school. It’s quite amusing…until the screaming doesn’t end.
She colored her entire Princess Coloring book in one sitting! We also read it several times throughout the week-she loved it!
We mostly worked with her shape and color cards on the cookie sheet…
She also used the cookie sheet for her dot paint sheets, before she painted or colored them!
She did a lot of dot painting again,I was smart and printed off several copies of each page before the week began {and I still had to print more to keep her happy}.
She colored TONS, I mean TONS. Krash had a Dragon/Knight week and she jumped in on his stuff too. Here she was coloring “Hipuck” as she calls him…
Castle coloring {this is from the Knight Preschool Pack}
Here is her completed Princess Tot Book…I created a pocket on the back to keep her worksheets in. She did MANY, and I just folded them up and slid them in the back!
I prepared 3 trays for her this week, the first was bead sorting. I got those cute plastic cups from Ikea and put matching beads in the little white bowl and she sorted the beads. In the beginning she used her fingers, later in the week we added a spoon-but she needed tons of help, so we went back to just fingers!
*note-when using small items that are choking hazards, you must be engaged with your tot the entire time.
For this tray I used 4 star wands {got these at Target in the Bday aisle} and flipped them upside down and poked them through a styrofoam circle {from a craft store} as a base. I gave her an assortment of colored beads to work with, she LOVED this!
Then we also put those beads into one of the cups…
We also added in a parmesan cheese container later in the week…
Moving Mancala marbles back and forth…
Playing with the squares from Qwirkle…
She is now an official runner and very proud of her skills!!
They were coloring their castles together, I love how he was checking hers out!
