~Ladybug is currently 27.5 months old~
Again, we have had a very low key school week, without any sort of schedule. Ladybug was content playing outside mostly so we actually did very little school work!
Letter: Oo
Object: Ostrich
Vocabulary Development Theme: African Animals
You can find the printables for this unit here on the Tot School Printables webpage.
Coloring her Oo and the ostrich, using her dry erase activity center…
Pom Pom Magnets on the letters…
We still have a lot more to do for our letter Oo unit so we will carry on next week! {edited to add ~ see part 2 here}
Fun Books & Toys for this unit here!
The set-up for her shelves was based around our summer theme: POND LIFE, I did a simple set-up with some fun pond items for all 3 kiddos…
- top shelf: pond animals flash cards {Target $1}, Pond book, stuffed animals, picture of toads
- top left shelf: pond library books
- top middle shelf: Pond Songs
- top right shelf: Pond printables from Montessori Print Shop {turtle, frog, dragonfly}
- bottom left: feed the frog
- bottom middle: pond animal flashcards
- bottom right: Pond Tot Book
I always set up a theme book shelf which ends up occupying Ladybug for hours each week.
Our bean bag chairs are still a big favorite!
On her other shelves I set out a new batch of toys. We mixed up her nesting blocks and her “Who Lives Where?” game pieces…
She played with the beach felt board set…
and also the ABC felt board set. She loved both but REALLY loved the ABC set
She had tons of fun with our Pond Life Sensory Bin…
My girl tried out the Strider Bike for the first time! It freaked her out a bit but we’ll keep working on it!
Fun at the playground…
She is learning how to jump, what better place than a puddle outside?
