More Letter T/Tiger Fun…
One evening, after dinner, she sat down at her desk and told me she was going to do her schoolwork. That she did! She worked for awhile as you will see below…
After coloring and tracing a bit, she asked to glue her shapes on purple paper.
This week we used letter T stickers to decorate the letter…
Here she is working on Letter Tt Dot Fun, we used magnetic gems. This set is included in the Animal ABC Bundle, or you can purchase the set as a stand alone set for $1.25 on Teacher’s Notebook.
Special Note: Please read my post about Following the Child’s Lead if you have a tot and need info about this. All tots are different and what Ladybug is doing may not be appropriate for your child, even if s/he is the same age!
I tried something new this week, a letter bin, and she loved it! I did something similar with Krash years ago, and thought she might enjoy it. It takes a bit of work to gather it all, but it really helps emphasize the letter and the sounds. I grabbed many items that begin with T and letters too. Then when the week began, I challenged Krash to find little things that also began with T, as a review for him. {he added a Transformer, train, tape, and pretend tomato}.
We explored the letter T box almost daily!
We love our Alphabet Soup set! Here we were going over the letter T items as she dropped them in the can.
By far, the MOST played with toy this week ~ Interlox. We share some of our toys in a bin rotation system with friends and these have been “gone” for awhile. When the bin returned, I added them to her shelf and she was immediately drawn to them. Here’s her airplane…
She told me this was a platypus {yes, she is a Phineas and Ferb fan thanks to her brothers}.
We played Connect 4 Launchers, tot style {no rules} a few times this week!
A toy that was passed down to us was a big hit. She had fun making the Word World words with me! {it’s here on Amazon, but the price is outrageous-totally NOT worth that!}
Sorting wooden shapes…
She only played with the screw block once, not her favorite toy.
Ladybug continues to love her games on the iPad, here she was playing a favorite, Tally Tots.
