Just typing that title makes me giggle. There are many days the homeschool environment is FAR from peaceful. I do strive for peace, as I am guessing we all do. I have been using essential oils for almost 5 years now and I know many of you do too. We use our oils to help support our peaceful-selves during the homeschool day and have found a few key things that really help us.

Supporting focus…

I have a little roll-on bottle with a label that says chill-out. It contains vetiver, cedarwood and lavender. I usually add about equal amounts of each and some carrier oil. Originally I created this roll-on and researched the oils in this blend for my son Krash. Then I found that it was beneficial for ME too. So, it sits on my desk and honestly I use it even more than he does now.

Other options to help with focus: GenYus, Clarity, Brain Power, Peppermint, Rosemary, and Lime.

A peaceful aroma…

We have a diffuser in the schoolroom and we all enjoy it. I found a blend I love and my kids love it too so it is often in the diffuser. I combine Northern Lights Black Spruce with lemon, bergamot and orange, about 3 drops of NLBS, 2 orange, 1 lemon and 1 bergamot. I am almost always using NLBS as a base and some days I just and some lemon, or one of the others and some days I mix all of them. The NLBS is very grounding and has an aroma I just love. It is a favorite for my kids too.

When the emotions run high…

I have a few things that I love when the stress gets the best of us. Sometimes homeschool is full of emotional children and adults and at times there are battles. For these moments, I turn first to the Lord and ask for HIS divine intervention to help us. Additionally, our oils have a way of helping us during these moments too and we all have different preferences. My daughter loves her Stress Away roll on, my middle son likes Northern Lights Black Spruce, Frankincense and Valor. He often wears a diffuser necklace with NLBS. My older son likes the uplifting aroma of orange, and often combines it with lavender in his diffuser in his room. Personally, I turn to NLBS and Frankincense most often. I also really like Stress Away, Valor, Peace & Calming, Joy, & Bergamot,
