Cursive?

OK, so I knew it was coming but it has caught me off guard a bit. I have known from the beginning that Calvert introduces cursive (Calvert Script they call it) in 1st grade, but now that we’re here it is a bit emotional! My emotions didn’t really get to me until this was the assignment… He wrote his first word in cursive and did a GREAT job!! He is such a big boy 🙂 I am so proud of him as handwriting has not been something that came easy for him. He has really worked hard at it. Seeing him write in cursive just makes me feel old. I guess it’s because back in the day I didn’t learn it until 3rd grade I think?
