Here are some Letter K and Koala ideas for you…

Our Koala week was made fun thanks to a lovely blog friend from Australia who sent Ladybug some fun stickers and other things for our week!  Thanks Bree!

Ladybug asked for paint almost every day.  She painted her Koalas…

Painted her coloring sheet…

Painted her shapes…

 

Here she is working on Letter Kk Dot Fun, first she colored in all of the dots.  This set is included in the Animal ABC Bundle, or you can purchase the set as a stand alone set for $1.25 on Teacher’s Notebook.

Then she watched as I traced each letter with glue, then she glittered them!

She is enjoying her tracing, always choosing a marker.

Did I happen to mention her love of glitter?

 

We slipped our Play Dough Mat into our Dry Erase Center, and made the letters together.  After making the letters, she poked them!

This was the first time she asked to make the animal word with me.

 

Mr. Koala got a fun shaving cream bath….

 

 

She worked with me to make the letter craft, which is basically an open ended project that you can do whatever you want with!  This week she wanted to paint it!

The next day she asked to put glitter {shocker} on it…

We are taking our All About Reading Pre Level 1 lessons slowly.  I am not expecting mastery from Ladybug, just using this program as a way to expose her to the Big Five Skills.

Here she was coloring the Kangaroo sheet..

Guess what?  She wanted to put glitter on it!

Lots of playing, but only 1 picture at the end of the week!  Here she was counting rocks into an ice cube tray!

Here she was enjoying the free app, Little Writer.  I programmed in family names with pictures for her and she LOVES it!
