Today is National Dictionary Day in honor of Noah Webster’s birthday! Did you know that it took Webster 27 years to complete the first comprehensive American Dictionary? It included 70,000 entries! In order to understand the entomology of words, Webster learned twenty-six languages including Greek, Latin, Arabic, and Sanskrit! Maybe you and your Tot could learn a couple of new words from the dictionary in honor of Noah Webster’s birthday! And don’t forget to post all your fun and creative activities up on the Gathering Place! We’d love to see what you are up to!
