~Ladybug is currently 38.5 months old~
Here is her desk set-up for letter P. I added some letter fun, featuring the letter P using our Letter Construction set, our alphabet peg set, and letter bean bags. All of our pigs joined the set up this week also. As usual, she loved this!
I went with a mild farm theme for her shelves, since we have several toys with a farm theme; piggy bank, Farm Puzzle, Farm Maze, Farm Felt Set, Farm Block Puzzle, Who Lives Where? {it had pigs in it}.
The printable items are all available here on the Animal ABCs webpage. {files are released for free when they are posted on the Totally Tots blog for the ABC feature, letter P is not free yet, but it will be once it is posted on Totally Tots!}.
Here are some Letter P and Pig ideas for you…
This week we colored pigs together and then cut them up to play hide and seek!
First, I hid them, and she went around finding them and yelling out the colors! Then she hid them for me!
It was so much fun, we did the shapes this way too! She only wanted to do the hiding this time!
We “snow painted” the letter P…
A little shaving cream play break…
After the paint dried, she glued her piggies on…
Here she is working on Letter Pp Dot Fun, we made mini play dough balls and she smooshed them onto the dots. This set is included in the Animal ABC Bundle, or you can purchase the set as a stand alone set for $1.25 on Teacher’s Notebook.
Special Note: Please read my post about Following the Child’s Lead if you have a tot and need info about this. All tots are different and what Ladybug is doing may not be appropriate for your child, even if s/he is the same age!
By FAR, the most played with toy, the farm cube puzzle. We did this thing numerous times per day. By the end of the week she was doing them on her own!
We had a fun Play Dough day, using our letter P and piggies for some extra fun.
This farm puzzle was from Target awhile back.
Matching baby/Mommy farm animals {old puzzles of mine}
Playing with our entire color supply box!
Ladybug attended her first VBS! She wasn’t technically “allowed” to go, but I stayed with her so she could sing and see the puppets for the first part. Since we are at an inner-city missionary staffed church, we have visiting groups lead VBS all summer, this was the first of the summer!
I don’t normally buy workbooks, since I make my own printables. But, Ladybug was wanting to have a workbook of her own, similar to the big boys, so I picked one up for her at Costco! I got her the Gakken Let’s Get Ready {ridiculous price on Amazon, I got it for $6.79 at Costco}, and she loves it! She did about 15 pages the first day!
Ladybug loves our Readeez videos! Here she was watching the Nursery Rhyme Collection, be sure to enter to win the full set if you haven’t yet!
