Another month of learning! Below you will find highlights from our April homeschool fun! It is a VERY skimpy post. Everything got done, but photos were lacking when I went back through to gather photos for this post!

All Together School
We have a wide grade and age range between our three kids, but I am thrilled to say that we have found quite a few subjects to learn all together!
I have no photos of our together learning time, but we continue to do Mystery of History, YWAM’s Heroes of History – Ben Franklin is almost done, and World Geography together {using Children’s Atlas of God’s World and our printables here}.
Daddy often tag teams the younger two, since he does specific subjects with each of them. I love seeing him work with our kids!
The kids loved doing the projects from our ImaginatveU review! See all that we did here!
7th Grade
PacMan is almost entirely independent this year thus making him the least photographed child.
He did a cool lung project with Apologia Science and I happened to snap a photo!
I bought his 8th grade literature guide already so we got an early start. I chose Sonlight’s American Historical Literature 130 to use for his reading only. We will work through these books together and have already begun Peace Child. I didn’t use any sort of guide or program for 7th grade and missed it, which is why I chose to use a more intense literature program next.
3rd Grade
He is pretty excited to have a few subjects done for 3rd grade! Teaching Textbooks Math 4 is DONE and so is Vocabulary Connections!
All About Spelling Level 3 is also complete!
We are reading Smiling Hill Farm {which we own thanks to doing Calvert with Pac in 3rd grade} together. He can totally read it on his own but loves me reading to him. Every few chapters I make him read to me.
Kindergarten
I do specific posts for much of Ladybug’s Kindergarten. Here’s direct links to the posts showing her in action during April {click on the graphic to see the posts}. It has been a much slower month for us. Honestly I’ve spent more time with the boys helping them finish up knowing I will school with her through the summer.
She also has other Kindergarten fun that we don’t blog specifically about, and I will include in the wrap up posts here!
We are still using our work drawer method. I set up 6 drawers for her, and printed her some new dinosaur labels, which she loves. I made a very simple rotation plan for myself : 1 – AAR, 2 – Literature Unit, 3 – You Can Read {rotate between sight words and word family}, 4 – RLRS, 5 – Daily Literacy Page, 6 – spelling workbook.
Daddy is now in charge of box 5 & 6 and has been working on her daily literacy paper and spelling workbook with her. She isn’t always thrilled but he does an awesome job and I am so thankful he is playing a part in her homeschooling!
We are moving right along with All About Reading Level 1 and she still LOVES it. She recently completed the 2nd book and is well through the third now!
Reading is a favorite hobby of hers and that makes my heart happy {my boys weren’t like this}. She loves for me to collect a random stack of books and surprise her on my bed. She sits there and reads through them all! We also finally went to the library for the first time since we moved, and now have a library books only area which she loves!
