You Can Read: Unit 15 {yes, that, he, get}
RRSK: Letter Ii
Theme of the Week: Christmas
You can download all of the printables for this unit FREE here on the main RRSK page, just scroll down until you see them! We have backed off from doing all 10 of the provided activities in the RRSK units. As he progresses, some items aren’t necessary anymore and either we skip them or go through them quickly. My main goal in using the RRSK lessons is the Bible work and simple review of other K skills.
He gets really into learning the verses now, we always do the cut-glue page on the second day and really work on the memorization during this time together.
Working on the addition worksheet in this unit, he LOVES addition!
I don’t have a video of him singing this verse, I need to get one and I will add it back here later! We sang it to the tune Happy Birthday!

We used unit 15 from You Can Read. Here’s a glimpse into some of the You Can Read work he did. I don’t have many photos because he is doing a lot of the work independently now while I am working with PacMan.
Building his words, his least favorite activity!

He was a shepherd for our church Nativity play! A very cute and crazy shepherd!
We began reviewing All About Reading Level 1 awhile ago, and Krash continues to make consistent progress. You can read more about why we are choosing to review this homeschool reading program here in our “Current Curriculum” post {see FAQ}.
I wrote a lot about our initial thoughts and experiences with AAR in his last Kindergarten with Krash post.
Here’s a couple of pics PacMan took one day while Krash was reading to me. The book comes with the AAR program and contains all of the short books within it.
He really enjoys these stories, they are cute!
We had fun working on our See the Light art lesson. I bought the boys both the Christmas {The Gift of Love} and Easter {The Cross Maker} DVDs and we did one of the lessons on the Christmas DVD back in December.
Pac enjoyed it much more than Krash, but K completed his and enjoyed using the blacklight at the end!…
iPad learning fun. So glad Pac is now able to pick up my camera and snap pics now. He gets some good natural moments with me actually in them!
I get asked a lot about our new case-it’s the Trident Kraken II and yes we love it!
A few items we used…
