~ Ladybug is 42.5 Months Old ~
X is for X-ray Fish! She loves digging through it her letter basket!
After it was all out, I arranged it and snapped a pic so you could see what was in it! Alphabet Soup set, ABC peg set, Magnetic Letters, Ladybug Alphabet Puzzle, the whale from Who Lives Where?, A Xylophone for X-ray Fish X Book, and more!
See more about letter baskets here!
For her letter craft this week, I took the idea from our Rose Window art project and let her rip up colored tissue paper and gave her some watered down glue and a Qtip to stick the colors onto the X!
She really enjoyed covering all of the white spaces!
Later on, she cut out her X-ray fish all by herself!
I cut out the dried X and she glued her fish onto it!
Posing at her desk for me while she worked on some of her Letter X work…
Here she was dot painting her Letter Xx Dot Fun, although I think she had more fun stacking the caps! This set is included in the Animal ABC Bundle, or you can purchase the set as a stand alone set for $1.25 on Teacher’s Notebook.
The printable items shown below are all available here on the Animal ABCs webpage. {files are released for free when they are posted on the Totally Tots blog for the ABC feature, letter X is not free yet, but it will be}
Here’s our X is for… Pinterest Board with more ideas for the letter X!
We are back to doing All About Reading Pre Level 1 once a week. I am not expecting mastery from Ladybug, just using this program as a way to expose her to the Big Five Skills.
Coloring her X page, with an emphasis on the “X” sound in the word foX.
We had loads of fun creating our own game with our Interlox pieces. We put them all in a bowl and rolled a die, and took turns grabbing the correct number out of the bowl.
Meanwhile, I had taken one of each color and put them in another bowl, for us to “draw” the winning color after the bowl was empty. Since Krash and Ladybug were playing, I wanted them to focus on counting and sorting, not the specific color. They had no idea which color would be chosen as the winner!
After the bowl was empty they each sorted by color…
Ladybug drew the winning color…
We compared Krash and Ladybug’s stacks of the color to determine who had more!
She had our nesting blocks out a LOT!
Measuring how tall she is next to her stack…
She absolutely loves these wooden puzzles {Krash did too at this age}. She did the dinosaur set this week, over and over again!
We have a mini treasure box, which is basically a box of tiny “junk” I find laying around. There is no theme, nothing super special, but it will entertain her for a long time! I don’t bring it out often, so it’s fun for her when I do!
Lots of creative play goes on with this box of random stuff!
Mr Potato Head was out this week too, and she made some adorable creations, as usual!
Ladybug’s week on Instagram {I am using Printsgram to make the layout for the week!}
We are 1plus1plus1 on Instagram, follow us here!
She had a treat with her Baba coming to visit {my dad}.
Gymnastics continues to be a highlight of her week, she loves it, but it wears her out!
