Each week I share 2-3 posts sharing our home preschool learning. This post is only sharing our letter focused work. If we have a theme of the week, it will be a separate post too. All of our general play based learning will be in a final weekly wrap up post called, “Learning with Ladybug.” I am separating out the posts to make them easier for people to find down the road when searching for specific letter/theme activities. Her Letter W ABC Basket…
CRAFTS
I printed the wolf and the whale for her, but she only wanted to make the whale this week. She finger painted it!
PRINTABLES
I am trying the tray set up again, putting her letter focused printables here for her to choose from. It didn’t seem to impress her much. She seems to prefer sitting at my table and waiting to see what I will hand her from my folder of stuff.
Animal ABC lowercase w was supposed to be for wolf, but she wanted it to be for Wall-E! So, she drew Wall-E and Eve on her w.
ABC Find It! Her favorite thing is to hide the image cards around the room and find them!
She enjoyed a few activities from the Letter W pack that we were given. Here she was coloring the letter W words on the W.
Cutting out her word cards and getting ready to play “smack it” with me!
I yell out a word and she finds it and smacks it!
We also did a bit of sorting, animals and food.
She LOVES our AlphaTales books and looks forward to reading the new one each week.
Our All About Reading Pre lesson for lowercase w is for water. She wanted to scribble the water and get straight to the thumbprint fish!
