I may not have a young child to use these Christmas Alphabet Match printables with, but I still love creating early childhood resources for YOU! I used an idea like this when I taught Kindergarten many years ago and have always wanted to create a printable version.
There are a few ways to use these printables, you can choose based on the abilities of your child. They can be laminated for repeated use year after year! Do the hard prep work once, and then pull them out at Christmas time for many years!
Ideas for Using…
- Cut out Christmas trees and leave the tree whole. Use them in a pocket chart or simply on the floor to work on ABC order.
- Cut out the Christmas trees and cut the top upper case letter off. Use the bottom half and the top half for matching ~ this is good for kids who are working on matching upper and lowercase letters.
- Cut out the Christmas trees and cut the bottom picture off, leaving the upper and lower case letters hooked together. Use for matching the letters to the object featuring the beginning sound {most common sound}.
- Cut out the Christmas trees and cut into 3 sections. Use for a BIG matching activity to work on everything all at once!
I hope many of your young children have fun with these free Christmas Tree ABC Matching printables!
