- Science ~ Chemistry (Guest Hollow)

- American Literature – Compass Classroom
- Writing – IEW S&S C, then IEW University-Ready Writing

- Foreign Language ~ Visual Latin, via Compass Classroom
- Elective ~ F.O.R.M. Health & PE, via Compass Classroom
ENGLISH
We are doing something new and tackling a full literature course. My boys were not big readers but my daughter is. After a lot of research, I chose American Literature from Compass Classroom.
For writing, we will finish up IEW S&S Level C and then most likely begin University-Ready Writing. It is possible she will take English at the community college in the spring, so that decision is still tentative.
She will also do Fix It Grammar for a simple daily review of grammar skills.
MATH
We have used Teaching Textbooks from the beginning with all of my kids and we still love it! My daughter is almost finished with Algebra 2 and will finish that up first and then begin Geometry. She may also take a math course at the community college during the spring semester but we haven’t decided yet.
SCIENCE
My middle son used Chemistry in the Kitchen and we enjoyed it for a child who isn’t in love with chemistry. My daughter is my artsy kid and I think she will prefer this over a math-heavy chemistry.
HISTORY
My daughter prefers a textbook-based history rather than a video version, and we read and discuss together. This year we will use Notgrass – Exploring America, which is what both of my sons used also!

FOREIGN LANGUAGE
She chose latin as her foreign language and I am pretty happy about that! My boys did Spanish so i am excited for something new. She will use Visual Latin from Compass Classroom.
Health & PE
I am so excited about this course! It is exactly what I was looking for ,and I stumbled upon it and then realized it is a part of the Compass Classroom membership, which I have! She is interested in health and nutrition, so FORM Health & PE is a great fit all around for her elective!
